of presentation of manuscripts to be published at the Donetsk State Technical University
"Proceedings Machine-Building Technologies and Systems"

The manuscripts contents should reflect new achievements in science and engineering dealing with machine-building in their practical sense, correspond to the Proceedings technical trend, and present interest to the wide circles of specialists.

The new and original ideas developed by the authors should be briefly described in the papers. The advantages of the elaboration if to compare it with the analogues should be mentioned together with the description of their peculiarities and practical importance. The papers results ought not to be presented in the form of the abstract.

The manuscripts can be written in Ukrainian, Russian, English, and German.

The Proceedings under discussion is a special edition where the results of thesises could be published in accordance with the VAK requirements (you can find the name of the proceedings in the List # 1 of Special Research Editions in which the results of dissertation papers to obtain the degree of the Candidate or Doctor of Science can be published. Appendix to the Ukraine VAK Regulations of June 9th 1999, # 1-05/ 7).

THE PROCEEDINGS MAIN TOPICS

  1. Progressive technologies creation and application practice and future trends.
  2. Information technologies (CAD/CAM/CAE). Manufacturing processes mechanizing and automation. Mechatronics problems and mechatronic technologies.
  3. Tools design and application, progressive tools materials and their processing.
  4. The manufacturing design and technological preparation automation, progressive equipment.
  5. Quality management, metrology, certification, diagnostics, technological systems reliability and operation.
  6. Special and non-traditional technologies, machine-building economic problems.
  7. Complicated technical systems calculations and modeling.
  8. Machine-building economic and ecological problems.

The advertizing of the products could be made in the frames of the Proceedings. It will be placed just after the papers.

THE MANUSCRIPTS PRESENTATION

    For the Editorial Board to make a decision as to the publication of the paper you should sent the following at its address (to January 30th):
  1. Application form and the information on the papers authors;
  2. Two copies of the manuscript (the second copy should be signed by all the authors);
  3. The expertise act (one copy);
  4. 3,5 diskette with the paper text;

The approximate price for one published page of the text is 3 US$.

THE GET-UP REQUIREMENTS

  1. The 5-10 pages of the manuscript should be written on white sheets of paper of the A4 format (210*297 mm) with the margin: top and bottom-30 mm, left and right-25mm. The pages should not be paginated (do it with a pencil at the bottom right corner). The text should be printed in two copies in WinWord (at least 6.0 version) with the Times New Roman 14 type. The printing quality should be perfect.
  2. Get-up rules. The structural scheme is as follows: the title, last names of the authors with the initials, abbreviated name of the organization, name of the city and country, the abstract written in English, the main text, conclusions, references. The title should be typed and centered in bold capitals without a space from the top margin and hyphens. Last names and initials of the authors should be typed in bold small letters, abbreviated names of the organizations, names of the cities and countries should be centered and typed in italics through commas in brackets. The paper texts should be printed in 1.5 interval (the language depends on the authors choice and should be printed with interval 1 between the lines). See the pattern of the material get-up.
  3. Graphic material (figures, graphs, schemes) should be made in the introduced objects manner in the formats bmp, gif, pcz, dwg with the size at least 60*60mm (in the course of the materials). All the items mentioned in the figures should be explained in the text. The figure items should be placed in the direction of the watch hand. The figure's number and the title should be pointed below it. E.g. Fig.3. Scheme of the device. Each figure should have one interval both at the top and bottom.
  4. Formulae and mathematical signs should be legible. The degree and index marks should be smaller than main signs and typed in correspondence with Microsoft Equation. Formulae should be numbered (on the right side, in brackets, without a space on the right only if there are references on them in the text). There should be one interval between the formula sign and the text. The formulae should be typed in italics.

    Full 14 pt; Subscript/Superscript 10 pt; Sub-Subscript/Superscript 8 pt; Symbol 16 pt; Sub-Symbol 12 pt.
  5. All tables should have titles and ordinal number and be placed after they are mentioned in the text. E. g. Table 2. Muffs classification. Each table should have one interval both at the top and bottom.
  6. References should be placed at the end of the paper in accordance with the pattern. List of references should be made up as they are mentioned in the text and parenthesized.
  7. The text of the paper should be presented on the 3.5 diskette with the following note on it: the authors' last names and initials, the paper's title.
  8. The papers shouldn't be bent.
  9. The papers written not in accordance with the mentioned requirements and not corresponding to the indicated topics, and submitted to the editorial Board after the deadline won't be published.
